Sealing quality is what ultimately determines the performance of an anodic coating with respect to corrosion resistance, weathering, and resistance to fading and chalking. By definition, sealing is that process which by hydration, chemical reaction, or other mechanisms, close the pores of the anodic coating thus preventing the absorption of any foreign matter. In other words, sealing locks the color in and stabilizes the surface of the aluminum.
AMF offers three standard types of sealing options, depending upon your requests and needs:
- Nickel Acetate
- Sodium Dichromate
- Hot DI (Deionized) Water Seal
